Test drive GenerousYouThe following are two sample activities from the GenerousYou online learning experience, combined together to show you examples of video, devotional readings, and journaling on a single page. A typical daily activity is shorter than this, taking between 10-20 minutes to complete. Watch the video "Miracle in Franklin" This touching video is a powerful example of how two couples' lives were changed dramatically by a spontaneous act of generosity. After watching it, read the following passage from 2 Corinthians 8:13-15: "Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, as it is written: 'He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little.'"
Read Generosity, week 3, days 3 and 4 In these devotions from Generosity, Gordon MacDonald moves into the concept of eternal rewards...a biblical promise that many Christians find hard to imagine. Gordon also takes us through the concept of life prosperity for the generous giver – that generous people often discover all kinds of new wealth (spiritual and material) that permit them to expand the parameters of their generosity.
